Robert J. Riss

Robert John Riss, 40, of Hartsdale, NY, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.  He is survived by his wife, Kristina (nee Caramele) Riss; his son, Frederick; his brother, Peter Riss; his father, Peter Riss; and his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Joe Gasperino.

Robert was born on November 6, 1981 and grew up in Dobbs Ferry, NY.  He married on May 13, 2011 and welcomed his son on May 9, 2013.  He worked successfully as a Service Manager at the Rochester Midland Corporation Water Energy Division.

To know Bobby was to know his love for music and sharing that joy with those around him.  It was important to him that those nearest to him experienced the greats -- and he was always up for a lively conversation about the best guitarists and frontmen.  His zeal for music, including playing the guitar, drums, and keyboard, was only eclipsed by his delight of being Freddie's dad and bliss of being Krissy's husband.  Bobby enjoyed many sojourns from the busy life with his "little Riss Family," often visiting the Mystic Seaport for long weekends or bringing the family to visit Thomas the Train.

Not everyone in this world gets to experience marriage or fatherhood, but Bobby was lucky enough to embrace both and did so with enthusiasm.

His care and arrangements have been entrusted to Ralph Giordano Funeral Home.

Services are as follows:

Visitation:                            Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Ralph Giordano Funeral Home (Bronx, NY)

Mass of Christian Burial:     Monday, November 29, 2021 at 9:45 am at Saint Theresa Church (Bronx, NY)

Interment:                            Monday November 29, 2021 at 11:30 am at Ferncliff Cemetery (Hartsdale, NY)
