Mildred Tunkiar

Mildred Tunkiar of the Bronx passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 after a brief illness. Mildred was born on October 2, 1931 in New York, NY.

Her husband Stephen Tunkiar predeceased her. She is survived by her loving daughters, Helen Tunkiar & Elizabeth Byer, son-in-law Peter Byer, adored grandchildren Thomas Laforgia, Emma & Eric Byer and brother Joseph LaRosa.

She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten—an eternal flame will continue to shine brightly within each of us who had the honor of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Ralph Giordano Funeral Home on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at the Ralph Giordano Funeral Home on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. Niche Entombment will be held at Saint Raymond's Cemetery on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.
