Maria A Cruz

On April 15, 2020, Maria Alcira Cruz of the Bronx, NY, passed away at the age of 83 from recent illness as well as her long battle with Alzheimer's disease.  She was a loving wife and mother.  She is survived by her husband, Apraham Cruz and her three children, Luz Marina Mastroianni, Ricardo Sarmiento and Camilo Sarmiento.  Her final week was spent in the hospital.  We believe that her final days were not painful as she received palliative care to make her comfortable.

We truly believe she is with God now as her faith was strong.  This is something she instilled in all of us throughout our lives.  For those of you that knew her well, you understand this about her.  She loved her family and friends dearly.  She adored her grandchildren.  We pray to God each day and ask him to keep you in his arms.  She will be missed by all but we will see her again.
