Johanna Favata, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on April 16th after a long illness. Johanna was born in Germany to Gustav and Christina Schulz on June 20, 1937. She came to America in 1956 where she met her beloved soulmate Joseph Favata (d.1984). Johanna and Joseph were married in August of 1958. Her home in the Bronx during the 70’s and 80’s was home base to the neighborhood kids and friends of her children. She was known throughout the neighborhood as the best cook in town and would always proudly serve after school and after play snacks to all who came by. She will forever be loved and remembered by her friends and family. She is survived by her children Thomas, William, and Christina, her grandchildren Samantha, Joseph, Dylan, Emma, Sara, and Dharma, and her sister Elfreida. Services will be private.
