Our dear mother Eileen Sabrina Tobin, 86, also known as Mama, of Palm Beach Gardens Florida passed away on March 11, 2024, after a courageous 15-year battle with lung cancer with her family by her side.
Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband James G. Tobin (Jimmy), son James Kilduff Tobin, and brother Francis P. Higbee. Eileen is survived by her five (5) children, Jane (Mike Egitto), Brendan (Sheila), Kyra, Michael (Jessica), and John (Jennifer), and her seven (7) grandchildren, Jillaine, James, Olivia, Michael, Joseph, Sabrina, and Emily. Eileen is also survived by her sister, Mary Jane Cronin, and her five children, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Higbee.
Eileen was born on January 21st, 1938 on the upper west side of Manhattan to Frank and Eleanor Higbee, the youngest of three with her brother Frank and sister Mary-Jane. She married the late Jimmy Tobin in 1966 and lived together in the Bronx with their six (6) children. Eileen relocated to South Florida in 2002.
Mama was loved by everyone who knew her. Her faith and strength set an example for her loved ones. Mama was always welcoming to her children’s friends and anyone who walked through her door. She had a love of cooking and was known for her amazing meals. Eileen was a lifelong die-hard Yankee fan, she had a love of jazz music dating back to seeing Billie Holiday and other artists in her youth with her brother Frank.

The family will receive relatives and friends at The Ralph Giordano Funeral Home on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow St Raymond's Cemetery.
