Dora Bonelli was born in the Bronx on September 4th, 1945 to the late Nicholas and Louise (Ferrara) Oliva and passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at the age of 78.
Dora was married and divorced from John Bonelli of the Bronx, where she started a family and had two children John and Kathy. An independent and strong woman, Dora decided she wanted to further her education by attending Nursing School. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse and spent many years of her life helping others.
Dora loved history and also enjoyed reading and watching movies. She always looked forward to spending time with her family and planning dinners together. She would travel near and far to be with her family, creating life long memories. Dora had a strong belief in her Catholic faith throughout her entire life. Especially proud to be a Mother and Grandmother, Dora loved her family unconditionally. She was always a kind and forgiving woman. She also loved telling stories, which we all enjoyed throughout the years.
Dora is survived by her loving children, John Bonelli and his wife Donna, as well as Kathy Postlewait and her husband Rick. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren, Angela, John and Victoria. Additionally, Dora is a dear sibling of Anthony Oliva and his wife Regina, and Diane Eremita and her husband Michael .
