Obituary

Carolyn Guild passed away suddenly and peacefully in her home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. She lived in Bronx, New York her entire life. Carolyn enjoyed a fulfilling career in the travel industry until 9/11 and then worked in medical billing until retiring in 2020.  

Carolyn enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Hawaii, Great Britain, and New Mexico.  She loved animals, the outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends. 

 

She is survived by her sister, Josephine Guild, sister-in-law, Rose Ann (Tamburri) Guild, nephew, Glen Guild (Melissa Rivera), nieces, Maria (Guild) Hacker (John Hacker) and Christine Guild, and great nieces and nephews, Gabriel, Angelica, Jenny, Daniel, Lindsey, Jocelyn, and Aden as well as many cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Giacchino and Maria Battaglia, her paternal grandparents, Fred and Caroline Guild, her parents, Glen and Rose (Battaglia)Guild, her brothers, Charles Guild and Glen Guild, and her beloved dogs, Shadow and Casper. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Society of the Little Flower or to http://www.memorialtree.com which are two charities that were very close to Carolyn’s heart. 

Cremation will be followed by a graveside service and interment at Calvary Cemetery in Queens, New York at a date yet to be determined by the family.  

Eternal Rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Carolyn’s soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, Amen.
