Brian Maley passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
He was born on August 19, 1968 in Greenwich Village, NYC. In 1973 Brian and his family moved to Middle Village, Queens, where he would spend the rest of his childhood.
Brian graduated from Christ the King High School in 1986 and began his studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where he started his journey of becoming an NYPD police officer.
Brian was a top performer in the NYPD. He received numerous awards and commendations for his remarkable service. He retired from the 42 Detective Squad after 20+ years as a Second Grade NYC detective.
Brian enjoyed his retirement by spending time with his family and friends, and simply lived life to the fullest. He loved vacations, ballgames, movies, concerts, the beach, the New York Yankees, Eddie Van Halen and was know for spoiling those he loved.
He is survived by his wife Anna, his sons Gaetano, Anthony, Michael and Joseph, his sister Christa, his niece Katerina, his father Jerry, his brothers-in- law Joseph and John, his father-in-law Luigi and several cousins and godchildren.
Brian always knew how to make people smile. He was deeply thoughtful, caring, loyal, and he loved having fun. Brian was truly one of a kind. He will be loved and missed by everyone who knew him.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Ralph Giordano Funeral Home, on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Brian, at St Theresa Church, on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. Entombment will follow St Raymond's Cemetery (Old).
