Angel Luis Colon of Bronx, NY passed away on February 16, 2023. He was born on April 25, 1948 in Maunabo, Puerto Rico to Antonia Torres and Rafael Colon.
He retired from Atlantic Express, a union school bus company, after 15 years of service. Prior to that, he was a commercial truck driver.
He will always be remembered for his love of Puerto Rico, where he spent many vacations, the love for the beach, pool, salsa music, lottery games and the Puerto Rican day parade in El Barrio.
He always enjoyed authentic Puerto Rican delicacies, such as arroz con gandules, pasteles and one of his most favorite cocktails Pina Colada.
Luis is survived by his wife Esmeralda of forty four years, his daughters Aidelin, Madeline, Rosedeline, his step-daughter Maria, his son Luis, his sisters Luz Hilda, Nelly and Rosa, grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased in death by his parents, his brother Ralfi Colon and his son Jesse.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Calvary Chapel of Grace and Truth, 1373 Nepperhan Ave., Yonkers, NY on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mr.Colon will be laid to rest immediately following the funeral service at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY in the Hillcrest Garden Section.
