Sal Fararo, 89, died Wednesday, May 2, in Pompano Beach, Florida. A longtime Dumont, New Jersey, resident, Sal served on the Dumont Borough Council in the 1980s, taught CCD for many years at St. Mary's parish, and was a longtime Knights of Columbus member. He was a graduate of Pace University and received his Master's Degree from Columbia University. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Jeanette, in 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Kim, and her husband, Bennett; granddaughter, Rori; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fararo will be laid to rest immediately following the funeral service at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY

You will be truly missed. Love you to pieces. To the family be strong and stay strong. He was very big on family and would not let anyone forget it. Celebrate him because he honestly gave it his all but did it His Way!

Cry but cry a good cry, smile, laugh, sing and dance. That's what made his smile & eyes bright up an entire room even at the darkest times. To Mr. Fararo aka My Honey Bunny...You will are truly loved and will be missed by all. Sleep tight and don't forget to do a great Lindy into Heavens doors! Love you.
