MaryAnn (Kalliomaki) Finazzo

After a battle with cancer, Maryann Finazzo (Kalliomaki) has passed away on November 1, 2018 in Danbury, Ct at the age of 62, surrounded by loved ones.  She leaves behind her husband, Peter Finazzo; her daughters Stephanie Rabito and Lauren Scanlon, her husband John Scanlon and grandchildren, Brody and Olivia.

Maryann was born on May 27, 1956 in the Bronx, NY to her father Toivo Kalliomaki who predeceased her and her mother Gloria Kalliomaki (Guarino).  She grew up in a large loving family with one brother, Paul Kalliomaki, sister-in-law who predeceased her, Christine Kalliomaki and their daughter, Maryann's goddaughter Jamie Kalliomaki.

Maryann met her husband in 1972 and they married on September 9, 1978.  She went to Preston High School in the Bronx, NY and graduated in 1973.  Maryann took pride in raising her two daughters throughout her life and worked in various professions, the last being an aide at Canterbury School in New Milford, CT.

When diagnosed with metastasized breast cancer in 2017, she remained dedicated to her will to fight her illness.  She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final months, she always lit up a room with her smile.
