Benedetto Scalisi

Benedetto Scalisi passed away peacefully on the morning of February 17, 2019, at the age of 82. He was born on September 6, 1936, in San Fratello, Italy, to the late Salvatore and Benedetta Scalisi. Benedetto immigrated to the United States and settled in Bronx, New York.  He married Marianna Lembo and they were happily married for over fifty years and raised two sons, Salvatore and Alfred. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He worked for over 35 years as a steel worker at IAC in the Bronx. He enjoyed tending to his garden and making wine. Benedetto is survived by his wife, Marianna; a son, Salvatore; grandchildren; Benny and Sally. Benedetto was predeceased by his son; Alfred.
A wake for Benedetto will be held at the Ralph Giordano Funeral Home, 1727 Crosby Avenue, Bronx, N.Y., on Monday and Tuesday, February 18 & 19, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Theresa Church, 2855 St. Theresa Avenue, Bronx, N.Y. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 9:45 a.m. Entombment to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y.
